Well-known names nominated for Thálie Award
The presentation of the Thálie Awards is an essential part of the Prix Bohemia Radio festival. This year’s nominees include Jiří Lábus, Taťjana Medvecká and Ladislav Frej.
The Thálie Award for best acting performance in a radio play is bestowed by an Actors’ Association presidium jury. The prize will be personally presented at the festival’s closing ceremony by the president of the Actors’ Association, Ondřej Kepka.
Previous recipients of the prize include a number of leading Czech actors, among them Viktor Preiss, Táňa Medvecká and Pavla Tomicová. At last year’s closing ceremony the Thálie Award for best acting performance in a radio play went to Petr Lněniček for his portrayal of Guy Montag in the play Fahrenheit 451.
This year’s nominees are: Jiří Lábus and Taťjana Medvecká for their lead roles as the presidents in the play President, Helena Dvořáková for the role of Mrs. Lemarchand in the play Hilda, Ivan Trojan for the lead part of Michel in the comedy The Truth, Natálie Drabiščáková and Ladislav Frej for the roles of the spouse of the building owner and an older man in the play Porneography and David Novotný for the lead role of Karel Kopfrkingl in The Cremator.
