Urgent 2

Urgent 2 builds on the extraordinary audience response to the first series and brings new stories, this time from the environment of the Prague Emergency Medical Service. The second series is created in the style of a docu-reality format that takes listeners directly into the daily operations of one of the busiest emergency medical services in the Czech Republic.

Through authentic situations and personal testimonies from paramedics and emergency staff, it portrays moments when human lives are decided within just a few minutes. A key theme of the series is the human dimension of emergency work.

The podcast captures not only dramatic situations in the field, but also the responsibility, experience, and professionalism of people who face crisis situations every day.

The series combines documentary authenticity with the educational mission of public service media and demonstrates how audio storytelling can bring the public closer to a profession that is essential to the functioning of modern society.

The authors of the series are Czech Radio reporters Martin Pařízek and Ondřej Vaňura, who have long focused on communicating and popularizing topics related to emergency medicine and rescue services.
