Praha Berlín Waršava
Praha Berlín Waršava is an eight-part podcast series that focuses on The Peace Race: legendary cycling stage race that was called Tour de France of the East and took part between 1948–2006 in former Czechoslovakia, East Germany and Poland.

We explore not only its sporting history but perhaps more importantly its political and cultural significance and intersection with the world of the secret services Stasi and StB. Should we remember The Peace Race only as an example of communist propaganda or was there something more to it – something worth remembering and even relevant for today?
We work with previously unpublished materials from the National Museum archive and the vast video archive of Czech Television, speak with eyewitnesses, academics, and foreign journalists.
The podcast series also uses subjective reportage elements filmed directly from the saddle of a bicycle.
Soundtrack for the podcast was created by the Slovak project Päfgens. Each episode was accompanied visually with materials from the Czech Television video archive, which were further graphically worked on, and extensive accompanying text was published on the ČT art and ČT sport websites. The podcast series was also successful at the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) awards, where it was shortlisted in the Audio category.
