Prix Bohemia Radio Festival to take place in October
New Prix Bohemia Radio dates set! The international radio productions festival will be held in Olomouc from 12 to 15 October 2020. In the meantime, we can reveal a few snippets from the exceptional autumn festival programme.
The opening ceremony of this international radio productions festival will take place at the Moravian Theatre Olomouc on Monday, 12 October. You can look forward to the likes of Monika Absolonová and Václav Noid Bárta. The face and honorary president of Prix Bohemia Radio will again be the actress Hana Maciuchová. She and her Theatre Ungelt colleagues, Petr Stach and Ondřej Novák, will introduce themselves to festival-goers on Tuesday, 13 October on the Moravian Theatre Olomouc stage in the dramatic story of 4000 Days.
Get ready for culture and sport
Alongside the traditional presentation of the Documentary, Drama, Reportage and Multimedia competition categories there will be a copious accompanying programme in various venues around the Hanakian metropolis. Interesting guests will be hosted on Czech Radio Olomouc with live broadcasts from the Galerie Šantovka shopping mall throughout the festival.
You are sure to appreciate the chance to enjoy an excellent coffee during breaks in the autumn festival's busy programme. And if you visit the Czech Radio Endowment Fund's modular Café In The Dark on Olomouc's Upper Square, you will be helping them to help people with serious visual impairment. But that's not all. On Wednesday, 14 October, you can even try the Night Run for Světluška.
The penultimate festival day offers events such as a live concert at Czech Radio Olomouc and a Radio Wave Live Session from the Jazz Tibet Club. Thursday's closing ceremony at the Archbishop Palace will again pay tribute to the three best contestants in each category.
