Falling Tree Productions to Present Three Exceptional British Podcasts
Beginning at six o’clock in the evening on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Falling Tree Productions will present festival visitors with three podcasts produced by Allan Hall.
Pejk Malinovski’s drama Everything, Nothing, Harvey Keitel will be about finding inner peace, especially in exceptional situations, for example, where you find yourself sitting next to a famous actor, such as Harvey Keitel.
A second effort from the same author is Poetry Texas, where the main character tries to uncover the feelings and mood of the inhabitants of a town located near Dallas. The third is a work by Katie Burningham entitled Heel, Toe, Step, Together, in which you immerse yourself in the fate of people who may have met by chance, but who share a common passion: dance.
“We chose podcasts from this British production company because of their original and progressive production. Falling Tree Productions has been very successful. Its productions have won the Prix Italy, the Prix Bohemia, the Prix Europa, the Third Coast International Audio Festival and the Radio Academy Awards, to name the most prestigious,” says Kristýna Kovářová, one of the event organisers, in explanation of why they chose the podcasts.
Falling Tree Productions is a leading, world-renowned radio production company founded by Allan Hall in 1998. It chiefly produces features and documentaries for BBC Radio in Great Britain, Australia and many other countries. Almost all the company’s work takes the form of podcasts.
“The founder himself, Allan Hall, already has a lot of experience in radio before setting up this production company. Now we are privy to stunningly progressive podcasts that draw us gently into the story,” adds Kovářová.
All podcasts can be heard on the premises of the university radio UP AIR at the Palacký University Arts Centre.
