Bird talks podcast explores the world of birds, environment and nature conservation. However, it is not just a narrowly-focused nature series - through bird-related topics it also opens up broader social and environmental issues.

In interviews with scientists or field workers (but also artists and cultural figures), the podcast covers a range of current topics: the loss of biodiversity, the impacts of climate change, and the coexistence of humans and wildlife in urban areas.
The interviews are also accompanied by reporting directly from the field, e. g. bringing listeners to places such as the night roosts of rooks in urban areas, or introducing the work of a dog unit tracking down the poisoners of birds of prey. "Bird talks" thus combines facts with a documentary approach, making the topic of nature conservation accessible to the general public.
