Bára Dočkalová: Bone
This mystery series, based on a book that won the Magnesia Litera Award, begins at the village funeral of a distant uncle, where the entire extended—and, as is often the case, feuding—family gathers. Matěj and his dad weren’t even that eager to go to the funeral. But he won’t regret it! Look forward to seeing Igor Bareš, Jitka Smutná, Ondřej Rychlý, and other great actors.

Ten-year-old Matěj secretly takes a human bone from his distant aunt's funeral. But what seemed like a great idea soon turns into a nightmare. The bone speaks to Matěj in the voice of his long-buried great-grandfather. And instead of returning to Prague, Matěj stays alone in the village with his creepy aunt to secretly return this souvenir to the grave.
An adventure begins in which the voice of conscience and the desire to do the right thing are constantly put to the test in difficult and frightening situations.
*Kost* is a family story in which children play the leading roles. It takes us to a Czech village and explores themes such as family, tradition, roots, prejudice, and friendship, as well as death, mourning, and grief.
