There are more than one hundred pieces submitted to Prix Bohemia Radio 2019
Over hundred works will face off at the international radio production festival Prix Bohemia 2019, the 35th year of which will take place in April in Olomouc. In total 105 works have been submitted, vying for three main prizes in the categories Drama, Documentary and News Report.
Nineteen works in the category Drama, forty-eight in the category Documentary, and twenty-six Czech and eleven foreign works in the international section News Report have been submitted for the upcoming year of the Prix Bohemia Radio festival, which will take place from 1 to 4 April in Olomouc.
The expert jury will make a pre-selection from all submitted categories, which it will recommend for the main competition. Four Czech works will move on to the main competition in the international section News Report, alongside two works each from the invited foreign broadcasters.
The juries will also include an independent student jury. This jury will decide on the winner of the Student Prize from among all competing features and reports, regardless of the expert jury's pre-selection.
This year once again festival-goers are in for four days packed with radio features, debates, concerts and theatre performances. The stations of Czech Radio will also present themselves at the festival.
