Dear guests and radio friends,
In the year that Czech Radio celebrates 100 years since its foundation, it once again hosts its annual international festival of radio production, Prix Bohemia Radio.
The 39th edition will offer visitors a four-day competitive showcase of the best in radio production. Taking place in the beautiful university town of Olomouc, the festival will once again provide a unique opportunity to partake in friendly debates, hear expert academic discussions and create connections.
As in previous years, each individual day will be dedicated to a specific category. Monday will be the Documentary day, followed by the opening ceremony of the 39th Prix Bohemia Radio, held in the Czech Radio Olomouc building. Tuesday will be dedicated to News Reports, Wednesday to Drama and Thursday to the popular Podcast category.
In addition to the expert jury, the main competition will also feature a student jury, which will award the Student Prize. As is now festival tradition, a standout radio personality will be inducted into the Hall of Fame and the Thalia Award for the best performance in a radio play will be presented.
I wish the competitors, the jury, the visitors and all those involved in the organisation of the festival a pleasant stay in the Hanakian capital, which from October 16-19 will offer not only the best in radio production from 2022, but also an unforgettable creative atmosphere that you simply must experience.
