Aid Kid & The Augmented Jazz Ensemble
The new Aid Kid project was created on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Czech Radio. It is an electronic remix of the radio big band recordings, combined with six live players, Czech jazz leaders. The programme, premiered this spring, was created by Aid Kid in collaboration with Czech composer Tomáš Sýkora, who is the author of the arrangements and the link between Aid Kid's electronic universe and the jazz language.
Music producer Aid Kid is known from the bands Children Between the Speakers and The Animal Called Autumn, but he has recently been performing his skills alongside the legendary Danube or with the jazz trio of Tomáš Sýkora. In this remix project, he plays with fragments of big band rhythmics, fragments of melodies, soundscapes and movements.
Aid Kid - electronics, synthesizers, arrangements, TBA - keyboards, Petr Kalfus - saxophone, Miroslav Hloucal - trumpet, Richard Šanda - trombone, Marek Urbánek - drums, Tomáš Baroš - double bass.
Partner of the concert is Czech Radio Jazz.
