Dental services at home
Some of them cannot walk, sit, or even move. In Lithuania, around sixty thousand people live with severe disabilities. But in addition to the daily challenges of their condition, many are forced to endure toothaches because they physically cannot sit in a dentist’s chair.
For six years now, the Lithuanian government has been promising that people with severe disabilities will be able to receive dental services at home. But so far, mobile dental teams are still waiting for official permission to provide those services.
