The Biota of the City

19. srpen 2025

The intricate space-time of the city is a refuge and home to a diverse range of non-human entities. Moths, bats with large ears, shy deer, tiny spiders, and birds of prey, together with humans, create a complex symbiotic structure where life—in all its diversity—is at stake.

A text-sound piece as a radio gesture focused on the urban environment in relation to its inhabitants from the animal kingdom, prepared on the occasion of UNESCO World Environment Day, which falls annually on June 5. In addition to speeches by scientists and experts on the subject, it also includes compositions from the Location Podcast project, which is regularly organized by Euroradio Ars Acustica and which in recent years has focused on various areas of the environment from the perspective of acoustic arts.
